Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the procurement related activities in the procurement function whilst supporting the businesses needs and developing vendor quality, delivery and cost performance. Each day, you will execute activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

This role is contributing to the Measurement & Analytics Division Instrumentation & Analytics in Stonehouse UK. Main stakeholders are the Product Manufacturing Unit, Supply Chain Category / Global teams, Planning & Fulfillment, Trade Compliance, Finance & R&D,

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Executing procurement strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products

Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.

Supporting in implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements

Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability


Qualifications for the role

Proven experience improving supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost

Strong understanding of supply chain risks and effective mitigation strategies

Comfortable working within a matrix organization and managing multiple stakeholders

Background in a demanding manufacturing environment with a strong customer focus

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, adapt to changing business needs, collaborate across teams and demonstrate courage through the ability to take calculated risk

Excellent negotiation, cost management, and data analysis skills; proficiency in Excel, with SAP and Ariba knowledge desirable

Professional membership such as CIPS or relevant supply chain/procurement qualifications is desirable
