Stranding Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Stranding Machine Operator, you will operate winders, coilers, wrap lines, and stranding machines. You will utilize hand tools and measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. The role involves working near moving mechanical parts and occasionally being exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations, often in a high-noise environment.

ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate stranding machines, including loading wire spools, threading wires through the machine, and adjusting machine settings.Ensure quality control by monitoring two separate machine operations, checking strands for defects, and making necessary adjustments.Identify and resolve minor mechanical problems, reporting serious issues to supervisors.Experience in production, mechanical work, and machine operation.Ability to run at least two machines simultaneously, demonstrating multitasking capability.Punctuality and reliable attendance.Ability to lift 50 lbs with crane assistance for heavier materials.Forklift operation experience, preferably sit-down forklifts.DetailsLocation: St. Matthews, SCPay: $20/hr (based on experience)Schedule: Mon - Friday | 7am - 3:30pmContract: 4mth Contract-to-HireWhy Work Here?

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
