Stormwater Project Manager

Freese and Nichols is looking for Stormwater Project Manager in Denton, Texas. As Stormwater Project Manager, you will lead complex stormwater and flood risk reduction projects that help communities manage growth, protect people and property, and plan for long-term resilience.

What You’ll DoLead floodplain studies, stormwater management plans, watershed master plans, and design of capital improvement projectsServe as technical lead using industry tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, GIS, and CADManage project scope, schedule, budget, and financial performanceProvide quality control reviews of technical analyses, reports, and design deliverablesPrepare, negotiate, and manage project scopes, schedules, and fee estimatesLead technical content for proposals and statements of qualificationsPlan, direct, and supervise work of engineers, technicians, and other project team membersMentor and develop junior staff engineers while supporting long-term team capability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalentProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Texas6+ years of experience in stormwater management and drainage designDemonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients

Preferred

8+ years of experience in stormwater managementCertified Floodplain Manager (CFM)Experience leading client-facing stormwater and flood risk reduction programsBackground supporting proposal development and business growth efforts
