Job Description
This role involves working in the Supply Chain Distribution as a Stores Attendant-B. The position does not require a CDL, but warehouse experience including inventory, cycle counts, material handling, forklift operation, and more is great. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm, with overtime as needed for weekends and storm work because the company supports the electrical transmission lines (telephone poles and the wires that run between them . Candidates might be asked to relocate temporarily or permanently within a specific territory including San Benito, Weslaco, and Los Fresnos. Proficiency in Inventory Management and Microsoft Office programs like Excel and Word is required, with a willingness to learn other programs.

ResponsibilitiesIssue materials under proper authorization, which includes picking up, hauling, and delivering materials using company vehicles.Check received materials for quantity and condition, and initiate and process material receipt records.Report any irregularities and abnormal conditions.Identify, sort, and record returned materials, placing usable items in stock and sorting non-usable ones into scrap containers.Operate computer terminals and printers to support a materials management system and use office equipment like calculators and scanners.Prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage, including hazardous materials, adhering to safety and environmental procedures.Operate material handling equipment such as hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, and cranes as required.Assist in maintaining efficient storage of materials, rearranging bins and racks, and making material location changes.Perform inventory cycle counts to maintain adequate inventory levels, and process discrepancy adjustments with approval.Assist employees of equal or higher classification and perform similar or less skilled work.Perform duties following company safety rules, operating regulations, and practices.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of one year work experience in inventory control, material handling, or warehousingBasic computer skills and experience with inventory management software, including Microsoft Excel and WordPhysical capability to lift up to 70 poundsStrong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventoryAbility to perform basic math functionsGood communication skillsAbility to operate material handling equipment, including motorized forklifts and road vehicles
Work Environment
Work involves lifting and standing, with tasks performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Dress code includes PPE with steel toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt without inappropriate words or pictures. Additional PPE is provided, except side shields for eyeglasses. Some local travel may be required using company vehicles, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check necessary for the position.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $10.00 - $22.00/hr.
