Storeroom Worker
**Req Number** 178446 Shift: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 6:00AM-2:00PM Job Description The primary purpose of your job is to receive, store, issue, maintain storage areas of the Materials Department in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Hospital and Materials Department to assure the highest degree of quality resident/patient care is maintained at all times. Job Responsibility 1.Receives merchandise for the operation of the Hospital. 2.Dates and stores all incoming supplies and equipment. 3.Issues merchandise according to department procedures. 4.Rotates, dates all merchandise according to procedures. 5.Maintains a neat and clean work area, sweeps and mops all storeroom areas. 6.Delivers merchandise to other departments. 7.Maintains working relationship with co-workers. 8.Participates and assists in departmental studies and projects. 9.Communicates order problems and shortages to office staff 10.Maintains cooperative working relationship with peers, management and customers. 11.Demonstrates flexibility and consideration during interaction with peers, management and customers. 12.Demonstrates ability to listen effectively and respond to customer needs. 13.Demonstrates a willingness to cooperate and be respectful to others level of skills and abilities, shows flexibility, offers assistance and works effectively and efficiently with others to accomplish goals and objectives. 14.Employee is required to work in a safe manner. 15.Demonstrates ability to maintain attendance standards established by the department. 16.Ability to conduct himself/herself in a manner, which conforms to the HIPAA Compliance Program and applicable facility policy and procedures for patient confidentiality. 17.Ability to conduct themselves in conformity with LIH Security policy and procedures. 18.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours. 19.Is subject to frequent interruptions. Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends as necessary. 20.Attends and participates in continuing educational programs. 21.May be exposed to hot and cold temperatures in storage areas. 22.Must be able to speak, write the English language in an understandable manner. 23.Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 lbs. 24.Is subject o exposure to infectious waste, disease conditions, etc. including Aids and Hepatitis B. 25.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, as well as changes in temperature. 26.Performs other duties, as required. *ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. + Must posses as a minimum, a high school diploma, a basic knowledge of accounting and inventory procedures. + Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language. + Must posses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. + Must possess leadership and supervisory abilities and the willingness to work harmoniously with other departments. + Must posses the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, objectives, policies and procedures of the Materials Department. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
