Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Storeroom Project Technician to join our team. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness and organization of MRO storerooms, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with team members to meet operational needs and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of MRO storerooms, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.Organize inventory by categorizing items, labeling shelves, and ensuring proper storage practices.Assist with implementing a systematic inventory management process, including tracking and reporting stock levels.Collaborate with the team to understand specific needs and preferences regarding storeroom organization.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on-site.Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of hand tools used in constructing storeroom shelving units.Walk upwards of 5 miles a day to survey the site and perform walk-through quality inspections.Lift upwards of 50–75lbs on a semi-repetitive basis.Climb ladders and/or stairs inside and outside of multi-storied facilities.Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure the workspace and shop floor meet OSHA standards.Contribute to the integrity of inventory data by adhering to Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) standards.Support positive leadership by guaranteeing timely task completion and alignment with critical operational requirements from the customer.Demonstrate flexibility in working occasional overtime, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Adhere to all company/customer safety procedures.

Essential Skills

Experience in inventory management, data entry, and cycle counts.Ability to handle heavy lifting and material handling.Experience in shipping & receiving, and rack and stack.Proven experience in cleaning, organizing, or facilities management, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and effectively.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in facilities management or inventory management is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be working indoors in a non-climate regulated facility. Be prepared to dress warmly in colder temperatures. The environment is extremely dirty and dusty, requiring resilience and adaptability.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Frankfort, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
