Role Overview
The Stores Executive is responsible for managing inventory operations, ensuring the timely receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of all materials. The role ensures accurate stock levels, compliance with company processes, and smooth coordination between procurement, production, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure materials are available when required.
Conduct regular physical stock audits, cycle counts, and reconcile stock discrepancies.
Ensure proper identification, tagging, and storage of materials.
Material Handling
Oversee daily inward and outward movement of goods.
Inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, and documentation accuracy.
Ensure safe handling, stacking, and storage practices.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), Issue Notes, Material Requisition, and stock registers.
Update ERP/Inventory Management System for every transaction.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with procurement, production, accounts, and logistics teams for smooth operations.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and audit regulations.
Support vendor returns, scrap disposal, and asset tracking.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles.
Proficiency in ERP/Inventory Software (SAP / Oracle / Tally / Zoho / etc.)
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of procurement and logistics processes.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or any related field.
Experience Required
1–5 years of experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory control operations (depending on your requirement).
Preferred Attributes
Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering, or retail sectors.
Knowledge of material classification and storage standards.
Ability to handle physical stock movement when required.
