Storage Team Leader

You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of storage solutions. This role ensures that storage systems are efficient, secure, and scalable to meet the organization’s needs and lead a team of storage engineers and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of storage infrastructure. **Your Role:** + **Storage Infrastructure Management** : Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of storage systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. + **Team Leadership** : Manage and mentor a team of storage engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Provide guidance and support to ensure successful project execution. + **Capacity Planning** : Monitor storage usage and plan for future capacity needs. Ensure that storage resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively. + **Performance Optimization** : Implement and maintain performance monitoring tools to track the health and performance of storage systems. Optimize configurations to improve performance and reliability. + **Security and Compliance** : Ensure that storage systems comply with security policies and regulatory requirements. Implement best practices for data protection, encryption, and access control. + **Disaster Recovery** : Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for storage systems. Ensure that backup and recovery processes are effective and regularly tested. + **Vendor Management** : Manage relationships with storage vendors and service providers. Evaluate and select storage solutions that meet the organization’s requirements. + **Documentation and Reporting** : Maintain detailed documentation of storage infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Familiarity with storage management tools and software. + Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of IT professionals. + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. + Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + In-depth understanding of storage security best practices, including data encryption and access control. + Experience in managing vendor relationships and evaluating storage solutions. + Relevant certifications such as Certified Storage Networking Expert (CSNE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar. + Excellent command of the English language. *This role may require flexibility, including shift-based work and on-call responsibilities, depending on operational needs. *The service window for this project is between 9am-10pm, the exact daily shifts will be confirmed later in the process.
