Posting Details Posting Details Title Stockroom Manager Posting Number S01514JP Department FM - Warehouse Job Summary The Stockroom Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Facilities Stockroom, including inventory management and warehouse organization, under the supervision of the Director of Facilities Operations and Maintenance. This role ensures accurate procurement, receiving, and data entry of inventory items, including uniforms, while maintaining proper stock levels. The manager supervises a team of two full-time and one casual employee, providing training and support as needed. Additional responsibilities include managing the stockroom budget, assisting staff and customers with inventory inquiries, and maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
Essential Functions Procure inventory items in consultation with shop managers to maintain appropriate stock at proper levels, including ordering and receiving department specific uniforms Maintain inventory file in WebTMA. Manage data entry functions of inventory issues and receiving to assure accuracy. Coordinate perpetual and/or annual inventory counts. Manage stockroom operating budget and process all credit card expenses for stock and shops.
The hourly range for this position is expected to be: $29.50–$31.50/per hour. Compensation is based on skills and experience.

Education/Skills Requirements A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, vocational training and/or an Associate’s degree is preferred. Valid Maine drivers license required and the ability to meet the eligibility requirements as outlined in the Bowdoin College Motor Vehicle Policy. Fork lift operator certification a plus.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exemplary organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines Proficient in using computer software including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database management systems, and email platforms Ability to identify issues, generate solutions and make sound decisions
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required. Experience in a stockroom/warehouse operation and accounting experience are strongly preferred.
This position is subject to a criminal history record check, motor vehicle record check and a pre-placement physical.

Standard Work Days and Hours This is a full time position, Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (occasional nights and/or weekends may be required).
