**Job Title: Stocker** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Stocker to join our hospital's Operation Room Coordinator (ORC) department. This role involves managing the inventory of medical supplies within the hospital, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock handling. Responsibilities + Receive medical supplies into the hospital and unload trucks during this process. + Break down boxes and organize supplies efficiently. + Scan products for inventory purposes and manage budgeting for the hospital. + Stock items in the ORC department, ensuring proper placement and inventory management. + Pay attention to expiration dates and adhere to the 'first in, first out' inventory principle. + Pull carts of supplies to various operation rooms. Essential Skills + Proficiency in inventory control and stocking procedures. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. + Experience in shipping and receiving operations. + Basic math skills for counting and managing inventory. + Proficiency with Microsoft applications and data entry tasks. + Experience using scanners for inventory purposes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Customer service experience is beneficial. + Ability to walk long distances, covering 15,000 to 20,000 steps per shift. + Comfortable working in a physical position that involves opening and breaking down boxes. Work Environment This role is based inside a climate-controlled hospital environment, primarily within operation rooms. The work is fast-paced and may involve some stress. The shift runs from 6 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Scrubs are provided, and comfortable tennis shoes are recommended due to extensive walking. It is preferred to keep a pair of work shoes at the hospital to avoid bringing in outside contaminants. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
