The Store Clerk II, will be an integral part of the grocery store's daily operations. The primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, maintain the store's appearance and cleanliness, and assist in various tasks related to inventory management and stocking. Building upon the duties of a Store Clerk I, this position requires a higher level of experience and expertise, allowing you to handle more complex responsibilities efficiently. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and product knowledge will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our valued customers.

Greet customers warmly, offering assistance and addressing inquiries regarding products, pricing, and store policies.Provide knowledgeable recommendations and suggestions to customers based on their preferences and needs.Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, working towards resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.Ensure proper product labeling and price tags are attached to items on the shelves.Provide excellent customer service, ensuring each customer interaction is positive and memorable.Restock shelves, coolers, and displays with products, ensuring the availability of items for customers.Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.Assist in setting up promotional displays and seasonal merchandise as directed by the store managementAssist the cashiers during busy periods by bagging groceries, processing transactions, and providing additional support as needed.Handle customer returns and exchanges, following store policies and proceduresMaintain a tidy and organized checkout area, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer checkout process.Keep the store premises clean and well-maintained, including the checkout area, aisles, and restrooms.Ensure all safety and sanitation guidelines are followed, promoting a safe and hygienic shopping environment.Collaborate with other store clerks, cashiers, and department managers to ensure seamless store operations.Support and assist colleagues when needed, fostering a positive and cooperative work environmentOther duties as assignedQualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.High School DiplomaExperience:5 years of experience in a retail setting, preferably as a grocery store clerkSkillsVery good command of the English language.Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and inventory calculations.Knowledge of grocery products and their placements within the store is an advantage.Working Conditions:Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicalsPhysical Requirements:Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations.
