About our property:

Edith Macy Center is a conference center located in Briarcliff Manor, New York, 45 minutes from Manhattan. What you will have an opportunity to do:

We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our kitchen team as a Steward. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and tremendous attention to detail, in the care they take in maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel’s kitchen areas. 

Part-time Steward/Dishwasher position with a regular shift from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Requirements:

Must be available to work at least 3 -4 days per week, including weekends, depending on business needs

Flexibility to work a variety of days is essential

Compensation:
$18–$19 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

Load dishwasher with dirty dishes as needed.   

Make sure that the dishwasher machine is cleaning properly.  

Keep and maintain a clean workstation at all times.  

Make sure that the dishes are clean and sanitized, free of clutter.  

Sweep and mop kitchen as needed.  

Clean walls as needed.  

Maintain dry floor  

Remove garbage regularly  

What are we looking for?

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: 

Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.  

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards established by Benchmark a Global Hospitality Company. 

 

ENVIRONMENT: 

Working surfaces may be unlevel, slippery, or unstable. 

Inside main kitchen standing on hard vinyl floors. Busy noisy environment.
