Step into a role as a S&K Camp Team Leader where you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 20 Camp Directors, who in turn manage all aspects of planning and executing an innovative, kid-centric summer day camp, as well as other seasonal holiday break and pop-up programs year-round. This role involves helping the directors develop and implement local marketing initiatives; establish and build relationships with thousands of camp families; recruit, hire, train and lead seasonal teams; and oversee logistics, compliance, operations and inventory management for the programs they manage. Successful Senior Camp Directors will develop and lead a dynamic, inclusive and growing team of Camp Directors responsible for building community with kids, staff and families and delivering phenomenal programs for campers, while ensuring safety, operational efficiency and profitability. We partner with some of the world’s best companies to provide services that help employees perform their best and support families to thrive both personally and professionally. **Depending on the line of business, the position may perform some or all of the below functions:** **Major Functions/Responsibilities** + Leads and supervises a team of Year-round and Seasonal Camp Directors (up to 20), including assessment and onboarding of new hires, talent development, performance management and separation. Supports Camp Directors in doing the same for their seasonal teams. + Ensures Directors are successfully managing all customer communication for their programs, including responding to email and phone inquiries in a timely fashion, providing exceptional customer service, and handling sensitive and escalated matters for thousands of prospective and attending camp families. + Oversees the implementation and ongoing execution of compliance processes by Directors to ensure company, city, county and state required policies for camps and/or childcare facilities are followed. + Oversees a budget for personnel, food and programming across many camps, and ensures resources are managed appropriately by Directors. Assists Directors in negotiating terms with local vendors that provide food and programming for their camp. + Visits Camps to observe operations, provide support, give feedback, and implement change; will need to travel to camps and possibly lead camp in the event of an emergency or Director vacancy. + Supports and oversees Directors in their management of all logistics and inventory responsibilities for hundreds of items needed to run camp programs, which are valued in excess of nine-figures. + Supports Camp Directors in handling sensitive, emergency, behavioral and/or medical situations when they arise. Handles escalations as needed. + Manages relationships with host schools that rent out facilities where camps run. Responsible for overseeing and assisting Directors with janitorial arrangements, security and site planning to ensure sanitary, safe and smooth operations. Qualifications: + Preferred Bachelor's Degree + Required 3 Amin or Supervisory Experience in a Camp + At least 21 years of age with a HS/GED or bachelors degree + 24 weeks of previous administrative or supervisory experience at a camp; experience as a teacher or after school program director or counselor will also require you to have one summer of supervisory experience at a summer camp.-Bachelors Degree preferred **Additional Job Requirements** + Past management or leadership experience is required; experience hiring and managing teams of 5 or more is preferred + During camp programs, Director is expected to be on-site. When camps are not in session, most planning work can be done remotely, but Directors are expected to be actively marketing, recruiting staff and promoting camp in their community. + On-site management at camp can be physically demanding, with extended periods of time on your feet, outside and occasional activity requiring physical exertion. + Directors will be expected to run break camps throughout the year. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening.
