Job Title: Mill Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a mill operator with strong experience in heavy industrial settings. The role involves utilizing computers to document production completion, ensuring the correct raw material is loaded onto the line, and leading assistants in production tasks.

Responsibilities

Utilize computer systems to document production completion accurately.Ensure the correct raw material is loaded onto the production line.Perform quality checks using micrometers and calipers.Operate gauzes and shears effectively.Change over products on the machine as required.Lead and direct assistants on necessary tasks for the production line.

Essential Skills

Experience in machine operation.Proficiency in basic math.Experience in a heavy industrial environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift operation experience.Overhead crane operation experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dark, industrial tube mill with no windows. It can be dirty, and most mechanics will get greasy. The dress code requires metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves. Expect to work 10-hour shifts from Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. This is a Permanent position based out of Gary, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.
