State Street - Global Credit Finance - Client Strategy Internship - Summer 2026

What is Global Credit Finance?

Global Credit Finance is the Bank’s lending division. The team oversees a portfolio of 10 different products with ~$100B of notional commitments. Its 150+ member team operates in the US, EMEA and APAC with offices in Boston, Irvine, London, Munich, Gdansk, Luxembourg, and Bangalore. Global Credit Finance’s mission is twofold: to attract and retain clients of State Street through the use of the firm’s balance sheet; and to add income and diversification to the company’s portfolio of on and off-balance sheet investments.  Our products include Private Markets – Subscription Finance, Private Credit, Real Money Funds-Liquidity and Leverage, CLOs, Municipal Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Loans, Corporates, and Stable Value Wrap.

Who we are looking for

A successful client strategy intern is an enthusiastic candidate who thinks outside the box and can sufficiently manage their time. This hands-on position will work across the range of all GCF products, hence a candidate should be organized, highly-motivated and have strong problem-solving skills. The job is located in Boston, MA.

Why this role is important to us

This role will work closely with Global Credit Finance business staff who need assistance with various projects outside of their business-as-usual work.

What you will be responsible for

Own and assist with ad hoc projects across the division

Facilitate client reporting for Global Credit Finance

Support senior leaders across client engagement activities

Create materials to support executive meetings

Work closely with client strategy team to ensure alignment across GCF front office

Education & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s/University degree candidate

Salary Range:

$41,600 - $65,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
