Join an international, family-owned precision metal manufacturing company as a Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for line-side delivery and pick-up, dumping scrap, maintaining truck wells, organizing pallets, and managing cardboard waste. This fast-paced position requires you to be available at all times during your shift to support the production floor.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the production floor by maintaining and controlling the movement of stock from warehouse locations to the production floor and finished goods to their proper location.Organize customer containers to and from the production line.Perform additional housekeeping tasks as required, such as maintaining truck wells and organizing pallets.Complete 50% of duties in supporting production, 30% in organizing inventory, and 20% in miscellaneous duties.Essential Skills2 years of warehouse experience.2 years of stand-up hilo experience.Proficiency in material handling, order picking, and using stand-up forklifts.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with stand-up electric forklifts.Possession of a chauffeur's license.Why Work Here?Enjoy great insurance and benefits starting on the first of the month following 60 days. Work EnvironmentWork in a fast-paced yet clean manufacturing environment where metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers are produced. You will work in some areas that are louder than others, so be prepared for consistent loud noises from the machines. The job site is the 1201 Building, equipped with automated tube benders, welder machines, material handling robots, conveyors, and PLCs. The dress code requires compliance with all PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes at all times, and safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be provided. Shifts are 1st shift from 6am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday, with some Fridays when needed, and 2nd shift from 4pm to 2am, Monday through Thursday.
