Stamping Production Group Leader - Qualifications and Requirements \n\nDescription – Supervise a medium to large group of employees involved in plant production operations. Provide leadership for Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment. Work is generally of a technical nature with the ability to make decisions within the limits of general standards and practices. Some direct guidance received from supervisor.\nScope of Responsibilities:\n•\tResponsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment.\n•\tPromotes safe work environment with proper housekeeping standards and workplace organization. Conducts safety talks, job instruction training, ergonomic evaluations, and safety incident report & investigation. \n•\tProvide environment which stimulates team member’s involvement & personal growth by maintaining communications, soliciting suggestions, development training plan, attendance records, performance improvement, standardized work, support team meetings, job rotation, and work with UAW to resolve problems. \n•\tUnderstand and comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements.\n•\tInform management and others outside the work group of developments as they occur.\n•\tMaintains department records.\n•\tMaintain awareness of quality standards and processes, communicate department quality goals and leverage resources to solve quality problems. Implements problem solving processes.\n•\tLiaise with customers for quality problems and co-ordinate countermeasures.\n•\tRespond to work environment to meet production schedule.\n•\tEnsure cost control achieves budget needs.\n•\tMust be willing to rotate shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
