Staffing Coordinator
Job Overview

Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for our Skilled Nursing Community (Transitional Care units, Long Term Care) in Burnsville, Minnesota! This scheduling role maintains staffing schedules and documents attendance for nursing department

 

This schedule includes;

80 hours every two weeksDay shiftMonday - Friday

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain nursing staffing schedule:Updates master nursing schedules in computer as neededCommunicates staffing schedule changesCommunicates open positions and takes necessary steps to fill positions promptlyKnowledge and understanding of overtime and bonuses per facility protocol, policies, and Administration directionCoordinate and manage staffing procedures and scheduling of nursing personnelDevelops a bi-weekly and daily schedule under the direction of the DON and according to pre-established time framesDetermines PPL eligibility and grants or denies based on facility policyDetermines staffing needs/open positionsApproves/denies employees schedule exchangeMinimizes temporary agency usage by posting needs/open positions lists on a timely basis, utilizing an availability list, and calling our own employees before contacting a temporary staffing agencyProcesses timecards assuring that time punches match each employee's scheduleNotifies DON of status changes and permanent schedule change requestDocument attendance/tardiness reports, notifying supervisors of individuals requiring disciplinary actionMaintains master attendance fileReports attendance issues to appropriate supervisorMonitors status of on call and pool employees if applicableNotifies DON of employee attendance concernsOther duties as assigned and directed:Assists staff development with mandatory meeting, on site orientation and education, set up of phone calls and scheduling

Preferred:

Vocational/Technical Training or Associate DegreeOther License/Certification: Health Unit Coordinator trainingOne to three years of experienceMS Office experience
