Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking Staff Systems Engineer - Technology Maturation Manager.

What You’ll Get to Do: 

IPT-Level role - This Technical Project Manager-type role works with IPT SE Lead to ensure individual CIs that will integrate to comprise the IPT's segment are progressing in TRL on schedule. This role also works in partnership with the IPT's SIL Manager to ensure early and iterative integration of the CIs as they are developed.

This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area OR Redondo Beach, CA. 

This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.

Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Technology Maturation Manager: 

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 10 years of experience with Master's degree, 8 years of experience with PhD
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership to multi-function engineering team(s)
• Knowledge of technology development lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing to schedules, especially critical path adherence
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes, specifically system architecture
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong technical briefing skills
• Ability to assess and mitigate technical risks

• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

• Current active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph

Preferred Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Technology Maturation Manager: 

• Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

• Experience successfully maturing a technology from low to high TRL
• Demonstrated experience with MBSE to include use case development through creation of behavioral diagrams (i.e. activity and sequence diagrams); system and interface definition through creation of Block Definition Diagrams (BDDs) and Internal Block Definition Diagrams (IBDs)
• Demonstrated Successful completion of the technology development lifecycle
• Experience with MBSE and Requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORS
• Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence, MS Project, etc.

Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
