Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking candidates for the position of Staff Systems Engineer - Integration & Test to support Advanced Technology development programs. This position is on site in Linthicum Heights, or Annapolis Junction, MD.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Plan and execute the program lifecycle, including major program milestones / reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.)Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle, collaborating across an entire portfolio of programs.Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.Coordinate between the System Architect(s), Chief Engineer(s), Product Team Lead(s), program manager(s), and customers to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining a US Government security clearance per customers' requirements.
This position will serve on-site in one of these area locations: Linthicum Heights or Annapolis Junction, MD.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Integration & Test:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experienceDemonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle - Focus on SRR to CDRDemonstrated experience in systems development, integration, and testDemonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to VerificationDemonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE)Risk and Opportunity Management experienceExperience leading technical teamsThis position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizenAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance per customers’ requirementsPreferred Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Integration & Test:
Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systemsExperience working with CAMEO or other similar MBSE management toolsMaster’s degree or PhD in STEM or technical managementUnderstanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (e.g., UAF, DoDAF)Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionallyExperience managing contracts of $10M+Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $256,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
