**About the Role** The Developer Platform Org organization is looking for a Staff Software engineer to join us in Bangalore. In this role you will help define a holistic vision and build platforms across various problem statements to enable developer productivity and efficiency improvements, to help grow the developer experience, while collaborating with shared platform teams, service owners, product teams, data scientists and senior leadership. An ideal candidate will be working closely with a highly cross-functional team, including product management, engineering, tech strategy, data science and leadership to improve overall developer productivity and experience . A successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong technical skills, including coding, system architecture / design. **What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points** \-\-\-\- What the Candidate Will Do ---- 1. Design, build, and maintain sophisticated, scalable software platfroms within Developer Platform. 2. Collaborate and communicate with a globally distributed team to help discover gaps in our frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure and help drive solutions. 3. Write high-quality code and design documentation that can stand the test of global-scale edge cases 4. Raise the bar in end-to-end and integration tests 5. Mentor the next generation of tech leads. \-\-\-\- Basic Qualifications ---- 1. BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience 2. 10+ years of experience building and managing distributed systems, as well as a sound understanding of distributed system fundamentals 3. Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Go, Java as well as good scripting skills and the ability to pick up new ones 4. Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes 5. Grit, drive and a strong sense of ownership, coupled with an appetite for collaboration 6. Strong written / verbal communication, and the ability to manage stakeholders and leadership \-\-\-\- Preferred Qualifications ---- 1. Experience with scaling Platforms in large tech organisations 2. Experience with Gen AI tools for enhanced developer productivity 3. Experience with creating tools /processes to improve quality of high traffic consumer facing applications.
