The Opportunity
As a Staff Software Engineer, Mobile and Web Platforms, you will serve as a technical leader across our mobile and web experiences. You will initially lead and support a team of iOS, Android, and React Native engineers while guiding the evolution from React Native to fully native mobile applications. Over time, you will also contribute to and influence our consumer web portals, dashboards, and Direct-to-Consumer ecommerce experiences.
This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership and offers the opportunity to grow deeper in native mobile development or continue across mobile and web platforms.

Lead and mentor a talented team of iOS, Android, and React Native engineers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and architectural guidanceSupport and guide the transition from React Native to native iOS and Android applications, including defining migration strategies and best practicesDesign, build, and evolve core mobile and web features such as AI-powered food logging, AI assistants, and personalized metabolic health reportsLead technical initiatives from design through deployment, ensuring performance, reliability, scalability, and security across platformsCollaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Backend teams to translate business and user needs into high-quality technical solutionsContribute to and review architecture decisions impacting mobile apps, web portals, and shared platform capabilitiesHelp build and support web portals and dashboards, and partner with Direct-to-Consumer ecommerce teams as neededEstablish and elevate engineering standards across mobile and web development, including testing, monitoring, and release practicesIdentify opportunities to improve developer productivity, platform consistency, and long-term maintainabilityAct as a technical partner to leadership, influencing roadmaps and platform evolution beyond your immediate teamRequired Qualifications
8+ years of professional software engineering experience across mobile and or web platformsStrong hands-on experience with mobile development, including React Native and at least one native platform such as iOS or AndroidSolid experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScriptProven experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers at multiple levelsStrong understanding of mobile and web architecture, performance optimization, and platform-specific best practicesExperience building complex, user-facing features and workflows in production environmentsStrong communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions across teams and disciplinesAbility to balance hands-on contribution with strategic technical leadershipPreferred Qualifications
Deep experience with native iOS development using Swift and or Android development using KotlinExperience leading or supporting migrations from cross-platform frameworks to native platformsExperience building or supporting consumer web portals, dashboards, or ecommerce-related experiencesExposure to AI or data-driven consumer featuresExperience working in regulated or data-sensitive domains such as health or commercePrior experience operating at a Staff Engineer or equivalent technical leadership level

The base pay for this position is $130,700.00 – $261,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
