Under the guidance of the Compound Management Leadership, the Scientist will execute the reformatting of archived sample libraries using tip-based liquid handling automation. This involves working from a list of identified library plates for reformatting, executing the liquid transfer from plate to tube, entering newly made tubes into a database, and storing new tubes in an automated tube storage system. The role requires maintaining communication with the Library Management lead regarding the status of reformatting efforts and ensuring timelines are met. The candidate will work in a highly interactive organization and must be an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities
+ Execute decompression efforts by moving from deep well 384-well library plates to 500uL FluidX tubes for the active library, adding to the database and physically loading tubes in the sample store.
+ Transfer all wetstore vials into standardized 500uL FluidX tubes, add to the database, and physically load tubes in the sample store.
+ Identify unique samples in WK recovery plates, transfer into 500uL FluidX tubes, discard remaining plates, add tubes to the database, and physically load tubes in the sample store.
+ Standardize sample storage tubes using a liquid handler and, under the guidance of CM leadership, convert from a backlog of older library samples in historic tubes into standardized 500uL FluidX tubes.
+ Create several 1536-well LDV copies of the screening library from existing 384 poly pro plates.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of experience in compound management or sample management.
+ Experience working with tip-based liquid handlers.
+ Experience in large molecule pharmaceutical manufacturing where vials and tubes are filled.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent laboratory experience in Biology, Chemistry, or Life Sciences.
+ Working knowledge of technologies commonly used in a laboratory setting.
+ Experience with liquid handling automation.
+ Proficient in using proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat).
+ Excellent computer skills.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work productively in teams as well as independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Compound management or sample logistics experience is desirable.
+ Ability to learn new software to support streamlined workflows.
Work Environment
This position is onsite and involves handling a variety of well plates and liquid handling tubes for storage within the tube storage library. The role is labor-intensive, requiring work with automated equipment and machinery in a technical lab setting. Proper personal protection equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, and lab coats, is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.85/hr.
