**About the Role** The mission of the Merchant team is to help merchants realize their full potential on Uber Eats, from onboarding to building a success business. As a Scientist on this team, you will own complex projects from end-to-end, including understanding product performance, running marketplace experiments, building models, and driving tradeoff decisions using data. **What You'll Do** + Generate product insights through analysis to influence decisions and what / how the team builds. + Design and analyze experiments to help the team learn, ship, and measure impact. + Lead product measurement for the team, including metrics design, implementation, and goal setting. + Scale data visibility and access through dashboards or other tools. **Basic Qualifications** + Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields. + Minimum 5 years of industry experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent role (3+ if holding a Ph.D.) + Expertise in experimental design and statistical analysis for A/B testing and causal inference. + Proficiency in R or Python for exploratory data analysis and modeling. + Strong analytical skills, with experience extracting user behavior insights from large datasets. + Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Matplotlib). **Preferred Qualifications** + Marketplace experimentation experience within a Delivery or Ecommerce business. + 6+ years of industry experience. + Proficiency in causal inference. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$216,000 per year - USD$240,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
