Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Project Management individual contributor (Level 5) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Aircraft Solutions organization. This role is located in Chantilly, VA.
You will serve as the prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to Logistics Planning Support, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives. You will also chair review boards, working groups, and improvement initiatives while overseeing and executing the operational aspects of ongoing projects as a subject matter expert. You will serve as the primary liaison between program management, engineering, technical publications, and CLS Maintenance/Operations professionals.
Additionally, you will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, program, and technical capabilities. You will develop and present senior leadership level briefings and use databases to efficiently gather data and analyze reports. You will have demonstrated ability to lead complex efforts under limited direction while achieving impactful results.
You will be supporting a critical program in the Restricted Programs Sustainment & Operations (RPSO) operating unit within the Aircraft Solutions business unit. The standard work schedule is a 9/80 or 5/40. Due to the classified nature of the program, remote work is not available.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma and at least 19 years of relevant military / professional Project management experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of relevant military / professional Project management experience, or a Master’s degree and at least 13 years of relevant military / professional Project management experience.Must have advanced Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis in Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.Must have familiarity with military Technical Order Systems, Life Cycles, and Technical Manuals.Must be familiar with risk development and mitigation plans.Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time as determined by the companyMust be able and willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret with Special Program access clearance.Prior Contractor Logistics Support/military experience with background in aircraft maintenance and/or operations.Experience in proposal operations, business development, and capture effortsExperience with Change Board processes and implementation planningAbility to coordinate across multiple disciplines and product teamsSalary Range: $141,400.00 - $212,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
