Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is currently hiring a Staff Project Management Level 5 professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, California with an option to be remote. This is an individual contributor role, a non-manager role with no direct reports.
This position is for the role of an AGILE Program Integrator. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse organization of project integrators within the Triton Program Integration Team. The candidate is responsible to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing AGILE projects, and serve as the liaison between program management and integrated product teams. This individual contributor will work side by side with the Program Manager in executing a full Agile implementation by managing day-to-day delivery execution, coordination, and performance tracking. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports and improves cost and schedule performance by translating Agile execution metrics into actionable inputs for Estimate at Completion (EAC) and variance management. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives and increase delivery predictability by identifying execution risks, dependencies, and inefficiencies early and supporting timely corrective actions. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and enables consistent, disciplined Agile execution aligned with contractual, financial, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of project management and program integration and associated PM tools. General understanding of integrated management framework and program management process and procedures.Adherence to existing NG processes and demonstrates ability to understand processes and apply them.Demonstrates ability to perform projects with moderate supervision. Organized, engaged, and can work within a team.Ability to provide clear execution status and performance insight to program leadership to support informed decision-making utilizing an AGILE environment.Ability to grasp problems and assist with developing solutions – have the understanding to ask the right questionsUnderstands prioritization and can plan work accordingly – work is reviewed for overall accuracyContributes to the completion of program objectives and goals while utilizing & managing said objectives in an AGILE environmentAbility to work with internal personnel as a team and take direction from senior team members. Assist with presentation content and is able to present professionally.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 12 years of experience; OR Masters degree with 10 years of experience; OR PhD with 8 years of experience.Experience in JIRA & Confluence and Microsoft ExcelExperience in managing multiple projects & IPTs simultaneouslyExperience with interfacing with all levels of employees and LeadershipAbility to obtain and maintain (at minimum) a DoD Secret level clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications:
Active top-secret clearance (last investigation completed within last 6 years)Demonstrated experience implementing Agile methodologies (SAFe) to drive operational excellence and certifications such as SPC, RTE and Scrum MasterControl Account Manager (CAM) certifiedProven ability to analyze key metrics and synchronization of resources to improve team readiness and process efficiencyMasters of Business Administration (MBA)Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similarKnowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionallyStrong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills to senior leadershipAerospace and/or Defense Industry ExperienceSharePoint, Jira & Confluence experiences.Primary Level Salary Range: $146,300.00 - $219,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
