The Product Manager for EDS is the customer-facing voice of the platform. You act as the primary bridge between our internal customers (engineering and UX teams) and the core platform team. This is a high-touch, service-oriented role that requires exceptional communication skills to manage expectations, gather feedback, and ensure adopting teams feel supported. You are not just building a roadmap; you are building relationships that every customer interaction, from feature requests to roadmap alignment, is handled with empathy, clarity, and a focus on customer success.
About EDS :
EDS is the unified digital platform that powers GE HealthCare’s global software portfolio. It serves as a comprehensive library of reusable UI components, design patterns, and accessibility standards that bridge the critical gap between User Experience (UX) and Engineering. By fostering a philosophy of \"reduce, reuse, and recycle,\" EDS enables hundreds of product teams to eliminate redundant coding and design work. We provide the foundational building blocks that ensure our clinical and operational applications are intuitive, consistent, and accessible, allowing teams to focus on patient safety.
The Mission: Scale and Empowerment :
We are in a phase of hyper-growth, scaling from 15 adopting products to over 100. This requires a leader who thinks like a founder. You must look beyond simple backlog management to think about scale, growth, and empowerment. You will build a self-service ecosystem that allows teams to move fast without breaking the consistent standards required for patient safety and accessibility.
GE Healthcare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Our mission is to improve lives in the moments that matter. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Product Strategy and Roadmap Ownership
Milestone-Based Prioritization: You are responsible for ensuring the EDS roadmap is synchronized with the release milestones of our adopting product teams. Feature prioritization is strictly governed by the milestone dates of our customers. You will ensure that the platform delivers the necessary capabilities exactly when downstream products need them to launch.
Lifecycle Governance: Define and enforce the strategy for versioning and deprecation. You must balance the need for backward compatibility with the need to retire legacy code to keep the platform secure, performant, and maintainable as we scale to 100+ products.
Value-Driven Strategy: While milestones dictate the schedule, value dictates the investment. You will evaluate every roadmap item against its ability to drive Operational Efficiency (Cost Productivity), delivery velocity, and clinical safety. You are responsible for articulating the financial and operational value of the roadmap to leadership.
Product Team Collaboration: Lead the planning cycles in close collaboration with your Product Owner and Scrum Master. You define the strategic \"Why\" and \"When,\" while empowering the Product Owner to manage the \"What\" (user stories/requirements) and the Scrum Master to drive the \"How\" (process/velocity).
2. Growth, Evangelism, and Customer Success
Scalable Growth Strategy: Approach platform adoption with a market expansion mindset. You will move beyond high-touch onboarding to define scalable, self-service adoption models that empower teams to onboard themselves efficiently.
Product Evangelism: You act as the primary advocate for the platform's vision across the organization. You lead roadshows, demos, and stakeholder sessions to drive awareness and excitement for new features. While the Product Owner handles technical sprint demos, you focus on demonstrating the platform's value proposition to current and future adopting teams.
Strategic Product Partnerships: Identify and prioritize partnerships with high-priority, high-revenue, and highly strategic enterprise products. Manage these critical relationships to accelerate adoption and create success stories that validate new platform capabilities.
Customer Relationship Management: Manage the engagement lifecycle. You set the cadence for customer syncs, track their integration milestones. You partner with the support team to ensure customers are supported, tracking backlog status to keep stakeholders updated.
3. KPI Tracking and Data Analysis
KPI Tracking and Reporting: You are responsible for the rigorous tracking of the platform's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by Leadership. You will monitor adoption rates, component usage, and system engagement, reporting these trends in the Monthly Operating Reviews.
Adoption Analytics: Use data to identify which teams are \"at risk\" of stalling and proactively intervene to unblock them.
ROI Calculation: Work with adopting teams to calculate their specific savings and velocity gains. Turn these success stories into internal case studies to fuel further adoption.
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Product Management.
Required Qualifications
Mandatory: Experience managing Enterprise B2B software products.
Mandatory: Proven track record working within large, global, matrixed organizations. You must demonstrate the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence stakeholders across different regions and business units.
UX Collaboration: Within your 10+ years of experience, you must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working closely with User Experience (UX) teams. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of design-to-development workflows and the ability to partner effectively with creative leaders.
Key Competencies
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive growth in a rapidly scaling environment. You focus on empowerment and self-service rather than building dependencies.
Platform Expertise: You must have proven experience managing platform-level products where the \"customer\" is an internal development team. You understand the unique challenges of dependency management and versioning in a platform environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a Product Team (PM, PO, SM) while coordinating across a larger matrixed organization involving Engineering and UX.
Stakeholder Management: Expertise in stakeholder management. You can say \"No\" to feature requests without damaging the relationship by explaining the strategic rationale behind the roadmap.
Technical and Design Fluency: Familiarity with design systems, UX principles, and component-based UI frameworks. Experience working in Agile environments with tools like Rally, Confluence, and Figma.
Work Schedule This role reports to leadership in the United States (Central Time). You must be willing to work flexible hours to ensure significant overlap with US leadership and stakeholders for strategic planning and reviews.

Our total rewards are designed to unlock your ambition by giving you the boost and flexibility you need to turn your ideas into world-changing realities.
