Job Description
**Job Summary**
Renesas is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff Product Engineer to own product performance and quality in high-volume manufacturing for GaN power devices. This role is responsible for ensuring robust, scalable production through strong ownership of yield, test limits, excursions, and factory execution, while partnering closely with test engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**
Product ramp and high-volume production
+ Own manufacturing product health from NPI ramp through sustained high volume production.
+ Support product transfers, ramps, and capacity changes, ensuring stable performance across tools, sites, and suppliers.
+ Maintain product BOM accuracy, documentation, and manufacturing readiness.
Yield and sustaining
+ Drive yield ownership, including yield analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions across wafer sort and final test.
+ Define, release, and maintain production test limits, SPC limits, and disposition rules to protect quality while minimizing scrap.
+ Lead excursion management, including containment, failure analysis, cross functional alignment, and customer facing corrective actions.
Cross-functional Collaboration
+ Act as the primary product engineering interface to manufacturing, including fabs, assembly, test, and OSATs.
+ Partner with design, product, reliability, test, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
+ Organize technical data and present findings to engineering and management teams.

Qualifications
**Experience**
+ 7–12+ years in semiconductor product and yield engineering (experience level varies by degree: BS, MS). Power semiconductor experience preferred. Familiarity with discrete high voltage and/or low voltage GaN would be a plus.
**Technical Skills**
+ Familiar with continuous improvement, yield improvement methodologies, statistics, common efficient data analysis techniques
+ Experience in yield management tools such as JMP. Apply statistical analysis to isolate the issue and make data-driven decisions
+ Familiarity with semiconductor fab, assembly, and packaging flows.
**Soft Skills**
+ Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
+ Ability to organize, analyze, and present technical information clearly.
