The Microelectronics, Design, and Applications (MDA) organization is seeking a Staff Factory Systems Change Control Engineer to join our team and pioneer new approaches, design and implement technologies for a computer integrated manufacturing system. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.  

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Create procedures and best practices for implementing controlled changes for various components within a new Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system. Components include but are not limited to Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Document Control, product specification limit management, operating procedure and certification managementContribute to projects aimed at optimizing and standardizing factory system setup procedures, change implementation and training plansWork collaboratively with other engineering teams to understand the needs for change control.Help to identify software and systems needed for successful change control procedures

This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/ Annapolis Junction, MD.

Basic Qualifications for Staff Factory Systems Change Control Engineer:

Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years' relevant experience; 10 years' experience with a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline; 8 years with PhD in a STEM discipline.Experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fabUnderstanding of business processes, best practices, and QMS components for managing changes in a semiconductor or microelectronics fabrication lineExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present frequent updates to managementMust be willing to work on site 100% of timeLimited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be requiredThis position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen Candidate must be able obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with starting up a modern automated or semi-automated new semiconductor manufacturing lineExperience with implementing new change control proceduresExperienced with implementing new QMS componentsHas worked with Applied Materials SmartFactory CIM solutionExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software tools, i.e. Atlassian tools stack - Jira, Confluence

Salary Range: $163,200.00 - $256,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
