Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a **Staff Engineer Software Quality** to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. This role is located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL. **This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.** **What You'll Get to Do:** The selected candidate will be responsible for leading Software Quality Process and Governance for the Sentinel program including development and maintenance of software quality processes, procedures and metrics and for development & execution of product surveillance for external software suppliers. The successful candidate will have extensive experience as a Software Quality Engineer to ensure compliance with the program software development plan and applicable software processes and contractual requirements as well as a thorough knowledge of AS9100D and CMMI Level 3. The position will afford the opportunity to interact with multiple program teams and across all levels of the organization – effective communication skills are a must. Roles and responsibilities: + Lead development and implementation of software quality processes and procedures, program specific software supplier product surveillance schedules and execution, and collection of software quality metrics for the Sentinel program to support data analysis and continual improvement. + Support Supplier Mission Assurance to ensure suppliers providing software products, services and support for the Sentinel program have quality management processes and procedures in place that comply with the contract or other governing documentation (e.g., SSOW) and ensure execution to those processes. + Develop product surveillance plans and schedules and support review of software suppliers’ products (e.g., Plans, Specifications, Procedures, etc.) to ensure the products meet the requirements and suppliers are executing as defined in the Supplier Statement of Work, the program Supplier Quality Assurance Requirements document, and any other applicable contractual documents. + Apply knowledge, methodologies and principles of software quality engineering as defined in AS9100D and CMMI Level 3 principles. + Interface with multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Suppliers + Create process health, progress and stability metrics when required + Maintain a keen focus on employee engagement, teaming and collaboration, process improvement, rework reduction, and continuous improvement. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelors in Science degree and 12 Years of relevant experience; OR a Masters in Science degree and 10 years of relevant experience; OR a PhD and 8 years of relevant experience + Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need + Experience in developing and implementing Software Quality Assurance plans and leading Software Quality efforts on a DoD program + Experience in developing and/or using metrics for process health and performance monitoring + Experience in process development and maintenance + Knowledge of AS9100D and CMMI Level 3 requirements. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for a large program/supplier-base. + Experience in Systems Engineering requirements flow down and analysis + Experience in software build testing, qualification, and Integration and Test + Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology + A current/Active Top Secret clearance Salary Range: $134,300.00 - $201,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
