Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Staff Database Engineer.** **_This position can be telecommute (remote), hybrid, or fully-onsite at one of the following locations:_** + Melbourne, FL + Palmdale, CA + Redondo Beach, CA This position offers no relocation assistance and requires 10% travel. As part of the NGAS Global Supply Chain Operations Performance team, the individual will be required to support a diverse array of tasks and projects within the Global Supply Chain (GSC) organization. This position requires very good interpersonal skills, organization skills, and proficiency in various reporting systems. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Procurement concepts desired. Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements. Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation. Database engineers create data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may have many applications such as to address a business issue or provide a competitive advantage for the organization. **In this role, the selected candidate will perform the following:** + Design, develop, document, test, integrate and debug data products created by scripts and custom tools + Meet project milestones while ensuring high quality standards are met + Interface with other groups and subject matter experts within and outside of the organization **Basic Qualifications:** + Must have Bachelors in Science with 12 years of experience, Masters with 10 years of experience, or PhD with 8 years of experience. + Experience must be in global supply chain, data mining, reporting, data analysis, debugging data scripts or similar + Working knowledge of SAP or related business application software + SAP HANA development **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of Global Supply Chain operations, data, and/or processes + SAP HANA Sector Content Developer + Must have knowledge of relational databases (i.e. MSSQL) + Experience with writing Python scripts to automate data insertion/extraction + Experience interpreting and anticipating requirements from stakeholders + Knowledge of Data Visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) + Experience with configuration management and version control tools such asAzure DevOps, + JIRA, Git/Bitbucket + Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills + Current & active DoD security clearance + Ability to obtain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs **_Salary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience._** Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $256,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
