Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Staff Digital Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Systems Engineering Team. In this role you will be supporting radar development, electronic warfare and automated test equipment programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the design and development of digital circuits and systems, including FPGAs, CPLDs, ASICs, and other digital components.
Generate and update digital system requirements and select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite development and testing of firmware before hardware is available.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers, to deliver integrated solutions.
Implement rigorous testing and validation processes for digital designs to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications.
Mentor junior engineers in digital design, including firmware development and signal processing.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 12 Years directly relevant experience with Bachelor’s in Science; 10 Years with Master’s; 8 Years with PhD.
Experience leading the evaluation, selection, programming and testing FPGAs for complex systems.
Experience providing subject matter expertise in advanced digital design, to include FPGAs.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems.
Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs.
Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Xilinx Vivado and/or Simulink HDL coder.
Experience with MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages.
Experience developing simulation frameworks and performance models.
Experience in digital signal processing, digital beamforming, adaptive processing, or tracking algorithms.
Electrical Engineering Degree
Primary Level Salary Range: $162,500.00 - $243,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
