You will take ownership of critical subsystems—such as our Vector Search capabilities or our Agent Orchestration Framework—and drive them from concept to production. This role combines high-level design with hands-on coding, requiring you to be a "force multiplier" for the team. You will utilize tools like Databricks and AWS Lambda to build resilient, scalable infrastructure that empowers our developers to innovate faster. **Key Responsibilities:** + Own the full lifecycle of a major platform domain, ensuring high-quality, tested, and documented code delivery + Design and implement serverless workflows and event-driven architectures to support asynchronous AI agent tasks + Serve as the technical lead for a small squad of engineers, breaking down complex epics into executable tasks and ensuring sprint goals are met + Implement robust monitoring and alerting for your domain, focusing on AI-specific metrics like model quality and relevance + Collaborate with application engineers to understand their pain points and iterate on platform features to improve the "Developer Experience" **Skills, Experience and Requirements** **Education and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field + Master’s degree preferred + 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems **Skills and Qualifications:** + Proficiency in Python and experience building APIs + Hands-on experience with Vector Databases and semantic search technologies + Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and AWS cloud services + Commitment to "Docs as Code" and maintaining high-quality developer documentation + Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Amazon Q) to accelerate development + Strong ability to mentor Senior and mid-level engineers + Collaborative mindset with a focus on "winning" together as a team **Salary Ranges** Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year **Benefits** We offer versatile health perks, including flexible spending accounts, HSA, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, career opportunities, and a flexible time away plan; all benefits can be viewed here: DISH Benefits .
