Description Our client, an international leader in their industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in Ontario, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks that contribute to the accuracy of financial records and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities: • Support month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing financial statements. • Create and post journal entries while ensuring accuracy in the general ledger. • Reconcile accounts and bank statements to maintain precise financial records. • Analyze inventory and freight expenses, with training provided as necessary. • Assist in audits and ensure timely filing of state and federal tax forms. • Collaborate with the team on fixed asset management and reporting. • Utilize intermediate Excel skills to organize, analyze, and present financial data. • Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders to address accounting-related queries. • Work closely with the General Manager of Accounting & Administration to meet organizational goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of detail-oriented experience in accounting. • Proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliation. • Exposure to fixed asset accounting is preferred but not required. • Strong analytical skills for inventory and freight expense analysis. • Knowledge of corporate and sales tax regulations and filing procedures. • Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and leadership.
