Description Our growing property management client is seeking a talented Property Accountant to join their friendly, collaborative team in downtown Colorado Springs. Core Responsibilities: + Perform accurate bank reconciliations for multiple property accounts + Post, adjust, and review monthly journal entries + Proactively detect and resolve errors—this is not a data entry role + Manage accounts receivable: bill properties at the start of each month + Reconcile payroll processed through ADP + Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements + Work under accrual-based accounting principles Candidate Profile: Must Haves: + 4-year degree in accounting + 3+ years of property management accounting experience + Intermediate Excel skills (able to navigate spreadsheets; no pivots or VLOOKUPs required) + “Small business” mindset: flexible, proactive, and willing to assist wherever needed Soft Skills: + Personable, approachable, and a team player + Demonstrates a caring, thoughtful approach to colleagues and clients + Highly responsive and dependable + Self-starter, comfortable in a growing, evolving environment Bonus Perk: + Office is dog-friendly! Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management accounting. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and accrual accounting practices. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and financial statement preparation. • Experience with accounting software, such as AppFolio, and intermediate Excel skills. • Solid understanding of accounts receivable and billing processes. • Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple properties. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with leadership and operations teams.
