Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Ft. Myers, Florida. This role is integral to ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly. • Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local regulations. • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Analyze account balances and transactions to identify and correct errors. • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations as required. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. • Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making. Requirements • Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
