Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Brentwood, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure all financial data is up to date and accurate. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines. • Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and implement solutions. • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance with regulations. • Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions for reporting purposes. • Review and verify financial reports for accuracy and completeness. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data. • Generate detailed reports to assist management in decision-making processes. • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards in all financial activities. Requirements • Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries. • Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with month-end and year-end accounting procedures. • Ability to analyze financial data and identify areas for improvement. • Experience working with accounting software and tools. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
