A well-established professional services firm is seeking a Financial Analyst / Staff Accountant on a temp-to-hire basis to support corporate accounting operations. This role is fully on-site in the Los Angeles area and reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong Excel skills, prior ERP experience, and a customer service-oriented demeanor. Candidates with experience in project-based or creative industries are highly encouraged to apply.

Corporate Accounting & Close

Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entriesAssist with month-end and year-end close processesPerform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies

Financial Analysis & Reporting

Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and variance analysesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow trackingProvide ad hoc financial analysis to support management and operations

Operational Accounting Support

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processesReview vendor invoices, expense reports, and credit card activitySupport billing, revenue tracking, and project-related financial reportingWork within an ERP system to maintain accurate financial dataUtilize Excel for reconciliations, reporting, and analysisPartner with internal teams and external vendors in a professional, service-oriented mannerAssist with audits, process improvements, and special projects as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2-5+ years of experience in staff accounting, financial analysis, or a hybrid roleStrong Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, reporting)Prior ERP system experience required (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, or similar)Solid understanding of corporate accounting and general ledger functionsExperience in project-based, creative, or professional services environments strongly preferred
