Staff Accountant
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Warrenville, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial data preparation and reporting with precision and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members to support the organization's accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure the accuracy of financial reports and data. • Assist in the preparation and timely distribution of financial statements. • Create and maintain supporting schedules to facilitate monthly financial close processes. • Review and analyze journal entries to ensure proper documentation and compliance. • Manage the general ledger and reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy. • Handle corporate tax-related tasks, including sales tax and corporate tax returns. • Support audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards. • Utilize advanced accounting systems such as Oracle, Sage, or NetSuite to manage financial processes. • Contribute to process improvements within the accounting department. • Provide analytical insights to support strategic financial decision-making. Salary is $65,000-$75,000 Benefits + Medical/dental/vision + 401K Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a U.S.-based institution. • Experience working in diverse industries with exposure to complex financial systems. • Proficiency in advanced accounting software, such as Oracle, Sage, Yardi, NetSuite, or similar platforms. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and related financial regulations. • Ability to prepare and analyze journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy. • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities. • Familiarity with monthly financial close processes and reporting. • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
