Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support their expanding accounting and finance team. This role will work closely with the Controller and play a key part in daily accounting operations, month‑end close, and financial compliance. It offers strong exposure to core accounting processes and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesReconciliations & General LedgerPerform daily and monthly reconciliations, including:Bank and credit card transactionsChargebacks and account transfersSales audits for cash activityPrepare and post journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclasses, adjustments).Accounts Payable (Full Ownership)Receive, code, and process all invoices and expense reports in Bill.com and NetSuite.Manage DPO and schedule AP payments.Process, reconcile, and archive corporate credit card statements.Maintain vendor W‑9 files and issue annual 1099s.Compliance & ReportingPrepare and file monthly sales tax for all locations.Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules; collaborate with operations on Capex tracking.Maintain monthly reporting schedules.Assist with annual audit preparation.Provide ad hoc reporting and support special projects as needed.Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.Proficiency with accounting systems preferred (NetSuite, Bill.com).Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salaryMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance401(k) planJob Type & Location
