Description Staff Accountant – Transactional, G/L & Audit Prep (2–5 Years) Robert Half works with a diverse portfolio of companies seeking accountants with hands-on transactional accounting, general ledger experience, and exposure to audit preparation. We're building a pool of qualified candidates for immediate and upcoming opportunities across multiple industries. Typical responsibilities include: + Supporting the month-end close cycle by preparing journal entries, updating reconciliations, reviewing variances, and ensuring timely completion of close tasks + Managing daily accounting transactions including AP, AR, cash postings, expense processing, and bank reconciliations + Assisting with audit preparation: compiling supporting documentation, organizing schedules, and maintaining PBC lists + Preparing and maintaining recurring schedules, accruals, and account roll-forwards + Helping to streamline accounting processes and strengthen internal controls Requirements Ideal candidate background: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting + 2–5 years of hands-on accounting experience + Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, and audit requirements + Experience with transactional accounting and G/L work + Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills + Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including familiarity with Pivot Tables, VLU, XLU, Sum/If's etc. If you're looking to grow your accounting skill set and be considered for multiple roles as new opportunities open, please apply or email your resume directly to AmandaDonofrio@RobertHalf.
