Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Leominster, Massachusetts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the accounting process, including general ledger management, monthly closings, and financial reporting. The position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who is seeking exposure to diverse accounting functions and growth potential within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial records. • Manage the general ledger and support the monthly closing process to meet reporting deadlines. • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting packages for management review. • Track and monitor expenses to ensure proper allocation and adherence to budgets. • Support accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment scheduling. • Contribute to internal audit activities to enhance financial controls and compliance. • Perform accrual calculations and adjustments for accurate financial reporting. • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements. • Provide assistance and support during audits and external reviews. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in staff or general accounting roles. • Proficiency in general ledger management and monthly closing procedures. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and expense tracking. • Exposure to accrual accounting and financial reporting practices. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
