A well-established, full service restoration & construction company is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to provide immediate, on-site accounting support during a critical transition period. This role is essential to stabilizing daily accounting operations, addressing backlog items, and supporting leadership alongside an external CPA firm. There is strong potential for full-time hire for the right candidate.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and reconcile the general ledger using QuickBooks and/or PSA softwareManage accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsPrepare and process invoicing and collections, including property liens when requiredAssist with month-end and year-end close activitiesTrack job costs and support accurate Work in Progress (WIP) reportingPartner with project managers and estimators to ensure financial alignment across active jobsCollaborate cross-functionally with project managers, estimators, superintendents, payroll/HR, ownership, and the CEOProvide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis to leadershipParticipate in the implementation and transition to a new in house softwareSupport occasional after-hours work during surge events related to weather-driven restoration demandRequired BackgroundExperience working with QuickBooks or PSA softwareSolid bookkeeping to controller-level accounting skillsetExperience with job costing and Work in Progress (WIP) reportingAbility to independently manage AP, AR, invoicing, and collectionsComfortable working on-site daily in a hands-on, collaborative environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionallyPreferred QualificationsExperience in construction, restoration, or job-cost accounting environmentsExposure to accounting system implementations or software transitionsAbility to step into a transitional environment and add value quicklyCompensation & BenefitsHourly pay range of $30–$40/hour, based on experienceHealth benefitsPotential for full-time hireOpportunity to gain hands-on experience in a stable, growing organizationYour Career PartnerThe Reserves Network (TRN) connects skilled Accounting, Finance, and Administrative professionals with top employers nationwide.
