Staff Accountant | Onsite

Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily bank reconciliationsPrepare and post manual journal entries and account reclassifications (approximately 20 during month-end)Review and maintain General Ledger accountsComplete monthly, quarterly, and annual state sales and use tax filingsPerform balance sheet reconciliations and analysisSupport and execute a structured month-end close processFollow strict close timelinesPrepare preliminary financial reports by Day 3, including: Balance Sheet Profit & Loss (P&L) Gross Margin Budget vs. Actual analysisEnsure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness of financial dataIdentify opportunities to improve existing accounting processes and controls
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, highly preferred5 + years of general accounting experience Extensive experience working within the General LedgerStrong month-end close abilities (Short closing of a few days, preferred)Advanced Excel skillsPivot tables VLOOKUPs Ability to clean, manipulate, and analyze dataExperience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysisAbility to work independently, manage deadlines, and adhere to close calendars
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing and/or inventory accounting experienceExperience in a publicly traded companyExposure to Dynamics 365 (nice to have, not required)Process improvement mindset and attention to detailJob Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.46/hr.
