Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform daily bank reconciliations
+ Prepare and post manual journal entries and account reclassifications (approximately 20 during month-end)
+ Review and maintain General Ledger accounts
+ Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual state sales and use tax filings
+ Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
+ Support and execute a structured month-end close process
+ Follow strict close timelines
+ Prepare preliminary financial reports by Day 3, including:
+ Balance Sheet
+ Profit & Loss (P&L)
+ Gross Margin
+ Budget vs. Actual analysis
+ Ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness of financial data
+ Identify opportunities to improve existing accounting processes and controls
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, highly preferred
+ 5 + years of general accounting experience
+ Extensive experience working within the General Ledger
+ Strong month-end close abilities (Short closing of a few days, preferred)
+ Advanced Excel skills
+ Pivot tables
+ VLOOKUPs
+ Ability to clean, manipulate, and analyze data
+ Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
+ Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adhere to close calendars
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Manufacturing and/or inventory accounting experience
+ Experience in a publicly traded company
+ Exposure to Dynamics 365 (nice to have, not required)
+ Process improvement mindset and attention to detail

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $38.46/hr.
