Job Description
The Staff Accountant will support key accounting functions, including month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks. This role includes project-based accounting responsibilities, such as handling pay-when-paid AP processes and supporting Project Leads with AR documentation. The Staff Accountant will assist in compiling lien waivers, preparing invoice packages, performing weekly cash analysis, and completing monthly bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and is motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
Responsibilities
Support CFO in month-end closing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable tasks.Handle project-based accounting responsibilities, including pay-when-paid AP processes.Support Project Leads with accounts receivable documentation.Compile lien waivers and prepare invoice packages.Perform weekly cash analysis and complete monthly bank reconciliations.Participate in cross-training efforts across entities and identify opportunities to streamline processes.Essential Skills
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.General accounting knowledge, including month-end close processes.Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.Ability to conduct reconciliations, including cash and bank reconciliations.Strong documentation and accuracy skills.Cross-functional collaboration skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 4–7 years in an accounting role or currently pursuing an accounting/finance degree.QuickBooks experience is preferred but not required.Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Dependable, detail-oriented, and accurate in all work.Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new tools, and participate in process improvements.Work Environment
Fast-paced, collaborative accounting team with direct exposure to key leadership. The role involves a project-based environment requiring interaction across operations and project management, with multi-entity accounting exposure. Emphasis on professional development and cross-training.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
