Staff Accountant
Job Title: Staff AccountantJob Description

As a Staff Accountant, you will support the Finance team by recording general ledger entries, preparing accounting schedules and reports, reconciling financial data, and maintaining internal tracking systems. Additionally, you will assist with compliance activities and collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files for both recurring and adjusting transactions.Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis, preparing supporting schedules for accounting, financial, and management reports.Review general ledger accounts for accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.Support external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.Perform other duties within the Accounting/Finance Department as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field.2 years of experience at the staff accountant level handling general ledger, closes, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation.1+ years of experience utilizing a larger ERP system such as Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in manufacturing/distribution is preferred.Experience utilizing SAP is advantageous.Work Environment

This role requires working onsite 5 days a week, with hours from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. You will report to the accounting manager and be part of a large team, typically grouped with a mentor/mentee. Offices are shared, with 2-4 people per office.
