Staff Accountant
We are hiring a Staff Accountant to join our Team!

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support the daily operations of our accounting department. This role is instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and brings a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:Perform month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities.Analyze financial data to validate the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account reconciliations; escalate complex issues to the Accounting Manager as needed.Assist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements and support external audit processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.Maintain and update documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and workflows.Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives.Review lease and owner payment data; identify opportunities to improve accuracy and streamline processes.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA candidate strongly preferred.2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to lease accounting.Solid understanding of GAAP and other regulatory accounting standards.Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and familiarity with other MS Office tools.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Technical Skills:Accounting principles (GAAP)Month-end close and journal entriesGeneral ledger and financial reportingAccount and bank reconciliationsERP systems (NetSuite preferred)Lease accounting and fixed assetsMicrosoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas)Audit support and financial statement preparation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
