📊 Staff Accountant
💼 Position SummaryThe Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization’s fiscal health. This position is responsible for general accounting functions, bank reconciliations, month-end close processes, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
🛠️ Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily and monthly general ledger accounting tasksPrepare and reconcile bank statements and other financial accountsAssist with month-end and year-end close processesSupport AP/AR functions as needed, including invoice processing and payment trackingMaintain and organize financial documentation and recordsPrepare journal entries and assist with financial reportingServe as the go-to resource for accounting-related inquiries outside of AP/ARCollaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial dataAssist with audits and compliance reporting🎯 QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field1+ years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principlesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Blackbaud)Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
