• Preparation of individual, partnership, corporate and trust tax returns. • Reviews various financial records like income statements, receipts of expenditures and previous tax returns to determine a strategy for preparing current returns • Interviews clients to get information on deductible expenses, allowances and taxable income. • Uses tax form instructions and tax tables to make proper entries to compute the amount of taxes an individual or business owes. • Consults tax research library/software to obtain assistance with atypical returns. • Verifies forms that individuals prepared themselves to check for errors or miscalculations. • Prepares all necessary compliance forms required by the state and federal agencies. • Takes continuing education courses to stay up to date on changes in federal and state tax codes. • Complies with state and federal tax filing requirement by studying regulations; adhering to requirements; advising management on required actions; calculating quarterly estimated tax payments (when applicable) assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings. • Responds to financial inquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data. • Provides financial advice by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing projections (year-end analysis) • Reviews and addresses IRS and State notices received by clients. • Reviews tax returns of other preparers as needed. • Aid and direction for other tax preparers as needed.

• Displays exceptional mathematical skills and pays close attention to detail. • Possesses excellent reading and comprehension skills as well as superior problem- solving abilities. • Has knowledge of tax law, legal codes, precedents, government regulations and Internal Revenue Service rules. • Demonstrates strongwritten and verbalcommunication skills and excellent organizational skills along with a willingness to meet with clients as needed. • Demonstrates sound judgment and has good decision-making abilities. • Possesses knowledge of accepted accounting practices and sound economic strategies. • Possesses a commitment to using a CRM software to document projects, workflows and conversations with clients, etc. • Ability to use tax software or willingness to learn. We use Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS. • Bachelor's degree in accounting or economics. • Enrolled Agent (EA) designation or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials. • Certification from the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) preferred. • At least 5 years' experience in the preparation of income tax returns as mentioned above. • Knowledge of QuickBooks both desktop and online. • Experience in agricultural taxes preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $44.00/hr.
